Who We Are
The Indian River County Historical Society was established by a dedicated group of volunteers. Among their first endeavors was the purchase, moving and restoration of the old Vero Beach Railroad Station. Other projects quickly followed. The organization is volunteer driven. With a very limited budget, our volunteers make things happen! We hope you will join the Historic Society and support our efforts!

Saved the Historic Jungle Trail, a 7.5-mile state-designated greenway along the eastern shore of the Indian River. In August 2003, the Trail was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Purchased the 1903 Vero Beach Railroad Station for $1.00 from Florida East Coast Railway and moved the old station from Commerce Avenue to its current location on 14th Avenue in downtown Vero Beach.
